TGED-SS03 READINGS IN PHILIPPINE HISTORY
This course involves a critical examination of
the narratives of the Filipino Nation from multiple perspectives and
disciplines and in different periods and genres using selected primary and
secondary sources. Students must employ historical reading and thinking skills
in evaluating sources, develop sound arguments for or against a particular
issue effectively communicated in their platforms of preference, and manifest
interest in promoting local history, national patrimony, and cultural heritage.
At the end of the course, students will propose a project by tracing or
identifying historical patterns in Philippine society.
